Vinous Neal Martin - 17 Jan 24
The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis Village has a slightly reductive nose, a mixture of red and black fruit, forest floor and light pencil box aromas. The medium-bodied palate offers crunchy black fruit, again sporting a light graphite trait. I'd like to see more flesh and rondeur develop on the finish here.

Morey-Saint-Denis

Morey-Saint-Denis, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is known for its elegant, well-structured Pinot Noir wines that balance the power of Gevrey-Chambertin and the finesse of Chambolle-Musigny. These wines feature flavours of red and black fruits, earthy spices, and floral notes, with refined tannins and excellent ageing potential. Home to five Grand Cru vineyards, including Clos de Tart and Clos Saint-Denis, top producers like Domaine Dujac, Domaine Ponsot, and Domaine des Lambrays are celebrated for their traditional winemaking and expressive wines.
